Computer labs to bring access and opportunity for students and teachers

Construction on the computer labs began last summer, with hopes that they would be completed in the fall. With the major disruption of the political and economic crisis across the country, progress was stalled.
We are happy to announce that construction has resumed! With another month of construction, and the installation of computers over the summer, we are excited to open the computer labs for the commencement of the new school year in the fall.
Secondary and primary schools will each have their own computer lab accessible for students and teachers. Each will be completely solar-powered, along with the rest of the school buildings on campus, as a part of our solar project.
Access to computers means students can expand their learning and sharpen their computer literacy, a skill that is highly valued in today’s job market. It also allows for teachers to incorporate and access new resources for their lessons. We believe this new access will facilitate new pathways to learning and broaden the horizons for students.
The new computer labs and realization of solar power on campus would not be possible without the generous support of our donors. Thank you for your commitment to bringing the opportunity of an education to children in southern Haiti!
