Many Hands Make Light Work

We are fortunate to have a staff and board members committed to our mission, and who are able to create meaningful partnerships with donors. Serving the mission since its founding is board member Jack Reynolds. As a member of the board, Jack is responsible for Donor Relations.

If you have ever heard Jack speak about Free the Kids and Pwoje Espwa, you have witnessed how his passion and love for the mission seep through his every word. Jack’s dedication extends to other service areas, including his extensive involvement with his church and local Rotary Club. Over the years Jack has cultivated a strong relationship between these communities and Free the Kids.

Jack says his passion for the mission is kept alive by what he has seen on his numerous trips to Haiti and how those sights have affected his heart. “I can’t let go of the abhorrent situation [in Haiti]. If it weren’t by the grace of God you or I could be there.”

In the next 5 years, Jack hopes to see Pwoje Espwa achieve excellence in education and helping children find their own desired pathways to success outside of Espwa. He aims for the health of all the children, and their spiritual growth in the Fruits of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

As a part of his continued involvement, Jack is currently fundraising for our Solar Project. This project will result in complete transition to solar power, allowing for campus to be energy independent. While this project will benefit the entire campus, one of the key areas will be the schools. When the school facilities are powered by the sun, we have consistent, uninterrupted power and have the ability to further educational opportunities for students.

Thank you for your commitment to the children, Jack!
